"You look forward to it like a birthday party when you're a kid. You
think something wonderful is going to happen."
-- Joe DiMaggio, onng Day

Coaches Corner (Manager Jim Sullivan): Just
wanted to thank everyone for enduring the long chilly day Sunday for the
Mustangs' first games of the Spring 2004 season. Unfortunately, we came up
short in the first one due to a little off-season rust and a couple of
missed opportunities. The team woke up in the second game and gave us a
glimpse of the Mustangs we hope to see for most of the season. Here's to a
fun and competitive season, and hopefully a lot of wins along the way.
Obviously, we wanted to win both games Sunday. But, we also used this
weekend to help get everyone prepared for Ashland.
A special thanks goes out to Pam and Julie, and everyone who participated in
the concession sales. I know it was a lot of work, but it seemed to go over
very well.
We are still planning on practicing Wednesday, 5:00 PM, at Shackleford's
field. As usual, the weather is threatening. So, be flexible and we'll
keep you updated on any changes.
Also, I'm planning on putting in the t-shirt order Wednesday. If there are
any additional orders, please send me email or call by Tuesday night.
Thanks again.
